Hi Drupalistas!
DrupalCamp Ohio 2015 is right around the corner on October 23rd!
Are you registered for the camp?
We are happy to announce the full program schedule posted with sessions for site builders to developers, beginner to advanced. And we are happy to announce that Doug Vann will be returning this year to lead another all-day training class and Rod Martin has updated his essential talk for Drupal 8.
You still have time to register for the camp at http://drupalcampohio.org/drupalcamp-ohio-2015.
And did you hear, a Drupal 8 Release Candidate!
That's right! We have a release candidate for Drupal 8! Come join us for a general code sprint on Saturday hosted by Rev1 Ventures on Kinnear Road. A code sprint offers a chance for contributers, new and experienced, to meet face-to-face to help move the Drupal project forward. Or if you maintain a contrib module, maybe you want to get help updating it to Drupal 8? Send an e-mail if interested. There will also be sprinters across the country at Bay Area Drupal Camp so many more people will be available on IRC sprinting on Drupal 8 core, modules like Panels and Backdrop too.
What's hot in Columbus?
The Short North Arts District will be hopping with people showing off their costume skills at Columbus' annual HighBall costume party. Like a quieter evening of board games? Check out Kingmaker's, a board game parlor, or head up to Worthington at Columbus Area Board Game Society. And of course we have the wonderful Columbus Zoo.
Already registered?
Make sure you visit and are familiar with our Code of Conduct to help make this another great DrupalCamp. And we shouldn't be getting any snow this year! But be sure to check your route into town and familiarize yourself with the area around the camp and sprint venue on the location page.
Call for Volunteers
Are you interested in helping the camp run? We have some volunteer opportunities available for Friday and Saturday. Send us an e-mail or contact us via the Contact page for more information and to register for the camp as a volunteer.
