The long promised Drupal 8 will release someday and when it does many will be much happier with their choice of Drupal as their web development platform. Learn why it is that Drupal 8 will make life much easier not just for geeks but content editors, site builders, and enthusiasts of all levels.
With Drupal 8, Drupal will take another step into becoming a true platform with the adoption of libraries like: Symphony, Guzzle, Behat and TWIG. Further, Core Initiatives around configuration in Code, Accessibility, HTML5, Internationalization and native RestFul APIs take Drupal into a new realm of scalability and extensibility. We already see Druapl fueling the likes of The Ohio State University, Penn State, University of Illinois, the White House, the EPA and The Weather Channel. Examples like the aforementioned will only continue to be the case with the release of Drupal 8.
This talk will cover code concepts but not require that you actually be able to read code to understand them, ie if you understand the basic idea of an Entity in Drupal you will be able to follow along. Further new enhancements in the site building experience and content diting will be covered.
By no means will this talk be comprehensive of Drupal 8 (there are 800+ changes records for Core in D8) I will cover the ones that peak my interest as a Drupal developer and development Manager.
